Been busy. Also close to the heart of it and what really matters. First off check out and enter the WIN SOME PURPLE LOVE giveaway I have going on my blog. Easy one comment entry for a one month supply of Nature’s Path LOVE CRUNCH and Sambazon Juice.
Mercury goes into retrograde tomorrow. I generally chill out and enjoy this introspection with organizing my surroundings and having fun with projects.
I will definitely be spending some time this retrograde re-evaluating relationships (IRL and online). I try not to give more than I feel comfortable with and lately have been feeling the pull of some online relationships not being mutually supportive or feeling like they are asking for more than I want to give.
Anyway food and exercise…
Was busy last week. Let me just say a lot of prolonged strength-training. I had about 3-4 sundaes or milkshakes in that time and dropped weight. I was BUSY and active. It has been a while since I have been so active that I am shaking from not getting enough calories – that was definitely last week.
This week will be more cardio and tri-training focused. I am doing Hal Higdon’s 8-week sprint tri plan.
Last week for food was balanced meals plus extra food in terms of nuts, fruit, and dairy (LOL… dairy and sugar).
This week is basic but more meatless than last month… perhaps some of the spiritual side of me as I go into periods of introspection.
Breakfasts… steel-cut oats, smoothies, wheat berries w/ veggies + egg, cereal
Lunch… leftovers, salads, sammiches
Dinner… (M) Curry (T) Black-eyed peas w/ rice and greens (W) Chaana Saag
It will be a funny week. I am traveling at the end of the week to hang with my niece ahead of her wedding next month. Her and her fiance do a bike club so I’ll ride (bicycle) with them and my tri training those days are mostly running and swimming anyway. She is also a vegetarian so it will be time for some nourishing meatless meals with her (even if I cook them myself).
Have a great week everyone.
xoxo
Oh, and vote for me for the Chocolate Milk Refuel Grant if you have a chance… vote Kia Ruiz please.

Sometimes reevaluating friendships is just what we need. I know I have been doing that a lot lately. Friendships and work relationships.
Love you Kia and I appreciate you!
Best of luck with your introspection… sometimes we need to sever ties and form new ones to grow spiritually and be healthy physically.
Enjoy your ride. I have looked longingly at our tandem recently. I feel a need to get back to it. Well, soon at least.
Mmm… as for your menu, steel cut oats seems to be my best breakfast solution, too. I definitely feel the best when I have a bowl with a little almond butter and a bunch of fresh fruit or berries. Have a great week!
I have been a horrible online friend lately, and had no idea you were training for a tri! That’s awesome!
Have fun at the wedding 😀
Re-evaluating relationships and commitments is always a good thing – I’ve been doing that lately as well. Enjoy the time with your niece!
Love your thoughts on re-evaluation – I think we’re always having to rethink how we’re investing our time and energy. How do we give and receive and fill up our soul bank account?
Yes – my mind is a busy place and I’m always contemplating this (in between tweeting of course)….
