I was gone for the weekend at Fitbloggin and actually did not shoot a vlog even though that was my intention going there. It just never felt quite right with everything going on.
I do have a movie/slideshow with my Fitbloggin recap.
For those in Mamavation I did get to see active Mamavation sistas Coach Jenn and Middleagedjock (they were my roomates the first two nights). I also got to see past Mamavation guests like one of my fave science reporters, Liz Neoporent. I also got to see ex-Mamavation sistas as well as others who considered joining for a bit but never did.
Here is me and Renee J. Ross. Renee actually brought me to Mamavation when I was pregnant and she had just started her weight loss journey. She is pretty amazing and I hope to run a race with her within the next year.
The week going into Fitbloggin was kind of crazy with having everything prepared to leave my son and work commitments. As it was I had issues getting the Mamavation post up this weekend due to really bad internet service at our hotel so need to give a huge thanks to Shelley for helping me out with a few editing issues.
I was pretty worn when I got to Baltimore after 2 hours of sleep at home, 2 hours of sleep on the plane, etc. In the 5K I thought I was being conservative with a 9:30 mile pace but only was able to go to the halfway point before my calf got a twinge. I decided to walk the rest as soon as I instantly realized how dehydrated I was. The combo of little sleep, flying, going from nearly no humidity to a good deal of humidity, and breast-pumping had me a little worn. I immediately drank 128 oz. of water after the race and felt a lot better. I was fine to do pilates then yoga in the park the following day.
MiddleAgedJock can attest that I am an eating machine. I think the main phrase she heard out of my mouth every time I saw her was, “I’m hungry” and I would pull out a piece of fruit, drink water, eat some nuts, or eat a meal after that. She even has video of me chowing down on a 22 Days bar.
However I am back now and enjoying home life before heading to Austin in a week and a half.
This week will be crossfitting three times and seeing how my calf twinge treats me as I get ready for a 10K on Memorial Day. My husband and I have not menu planned yet but I want to clean out the fridge and inventory the pantry in the next two days anyway. Have a wonderful week everyone.

Sounds like you had a wild and crazy week! Fun, though. So jealous of you meeting up with Mamavation Sistas IRL. Take care of your body and will be waiting to see those amazing meal plans for next week. 🙂

I love that the pic is named “trouble.”
I was talking to Chery who is the Arctic Ease lady, and she said she wears the wraps when she competes because she gets calf cramps too! I’m going to wear them when I play soccer next!
