This is not a contest requirement but my family and I did enter a Foodie Fantasy contest.
If by the slight chance we are picked as finalists I will be asking, persuading, then begging for votes. If you come to this blog you know me. Been green my whole life. I advocate for real food for everyone… even our 9-month old son eats real food like the White Out campaign that Dr. Greene is a huge part of.
For our Central American wedding we ate real food, you’ve seen me go on about feasting at holidays, I have challenged peeps regarding their food sources as well as energetics and nutrition.
Eating real food is not just a holiday thing, it is an every day thing. We know many of our food producers including the awesome people where we have our raw milk share. I basically love to cook, love sharing what I make, I love what it does for community and go to Lynne Rosetto Kasper and Mark Bittman weekly for a good deal of my current food news.
For me food is the place where I get to bridge my big passions about green and mindful living with healthy living. It is with food that community and culture is best shared. It is my family’s everyday place where we live our personal responsibility to our health and maximize our joy for the good things in life.
At this point wish us luck to be chosen as finalists for this contest. If we are chosen as finalists we will be looking for votes. Like we said in our video – we didn’t get to go on our Slow Foodie honeymoon but still want to go to Europe. Our passports are ready.
