Smack Talk Is Easy

VLAWG…

There you have it in a nutshell. I am cleared to workout starting in a week and I got to admit that this do-nothing thing is feeling pretty comfy. Oh bother. I just need to go slow and steady for consistency sake.

I did some nice motivation this week with a new H7 unit from Polar Heart Rate Monitors that syncs with their Polar Beat app on my iPhone. Let us see if that new toy will keep things groovy.

In preparation for this upcoming week I do have a workout plan devised. This week I will go do yoga one time and to get out of my comfort zone I am going to do something new and sign up for The Dailey Method. I would like to attend 2 times this week. I have my schedule planned out, now to make sure my workout gear is laid out so I do not get discouraged when looking for it.

This weekend will be active with my first run as well as CAMPING and HIKING in SW Colorado.

Now for this week’s dinner menu plan

Sunday (73/46) Mushroom Tacos
Monday (72/45) Lentils & Rice
Tuesday (72/46) leftovers
Wednesday (81/50) Grilled Veggies
Thursday (84/54) Avocado/Apricot/Quinoa Salad
Friday (90/54) Watermelon Gazpacho and Veggie Skewers
Saturday – Monday Camping!

  1. Smack Talk is the best to get yourself motivated atleast for day 1 then you gotta keep it up for day 2 and so on… That is where I am right now gotta get consistent and motivated. But I know you will get it because you are an awesome cheerleader and support for all of us especially me. So I am 100% behind you cheering you on and keeping your smack talk going 🙂

Thanks for being a smack talk cheerleader Meagan. I am glad to know you have my back with the ridiculous things that may come out of my mouth. xo

  2. The hard part is definitely getting started again, but you’ll be back into the swing of things in no time!

      Thanks for the support Jackie.

  3. Love your spunk Kia! Mushroom tacos sound yummy, do you have the recipe anywhere?

    1. capta$$kicker says:

Thanks Ashley. The Mushroom Tacos recipe is something I saw in Runners World. Make a bar out of it avocado slices, Cacique cheese, salsas, and herbed nuts if that strikes your fancy.

  4. I know you’re so excited to get out there!! But, like you, I’ve had the moments where I’m thinking, “Uh, do I really have to work out?” 🙂 BEST WISHES!!

We would totally be lying if we didn’t have those moments of hesitation. You’ll be back in the game soon too. Enjoy the maximum smack talk for now 😀

  5. Your menu plan looks yummy!!! You will do awesome getting back into the routine!!!

Thanks Pam, I hope I’ll do awesome with routine. I am making sure to line up my support team now to make sure my pesky piriformis issue from last year does not halt my attempt at getting back to active.

  6. Yey for camping and hiking! I really miss being able to be in the West and enjoying that! Sounds like you have a good plan going so just stick with it and be a little easy on yourself as well! And new toys are always good for motivation 😉

Thanks for the encouragement. I love being outside so tent time this summer is heaven for me.

  7. Good Luck with the first run and have a blast while campling
