A friend asked me tonight if I would want to attend a girls night out event that included an hour of “sultry” yoga. I naturally said yes because my visibly pregnant belly doing anything sultry seems hysterical to me. This got me thinking about the concept of sultry and how we define that for consumers. The description of the class I will be attending will include hip circles, kegels, and shoulder dipping. I do all of that when I lead prenatal yoga classes now except I do not call it sultry. At one studio I teach at I dim the lights in the room and light up rows of candles but do not call it sultry.
The event is the brainchild of a woman that organizes YogaDates in my area for singles. I have heavily encouraged single friends to attend these events because if they are anything like yoga festivals there is hotness running around expressed in truth of physical actions and untethered by baggy clothing.
However sultry… maybe it will be the music, promises of drinks and mini-manicures after? I do not know. Perhaps it is the host studio that is a pole-dancing and dance fitness venue? It just seems like it will be fun to express femininity in a room full of goddesses no matter their intention or expectations for the night. It also seems like a fun activity for just me on my wedding anniversary weekend. I will let you all know what it turns out to be.
Do you have any sultry yoga experience or guesses as to what I am in for?

This sounds like so much fun! Please let us know if you found your sultriness!
I’m intrigued, hanging on the edge of my seat! 🙂
heated? sweaty? lots of hips? cannot wait to hear though what it really is!
Heated? Yeah, that is one possible consideration that I should check on since there is limited space for this event. My body cannot do a heated room right now.
