Update for the week of 26 March 2012
This is a busy week for me. There is so much good going on.
First off the running and moving is going well. We have also had great weather here in Colorado and I am hoping to get two trail runs in this week. Mmmmm, trail running. If you are doing the Boulder Half Marathon on Sunday I will see there as a course marshal again. I will make sure to have a BOOM box at my station this year so you get that extra jolt on the backroads. I am LOVING, LOVING, LOVING the Black Girls Run Denver Group. I try to run with them on Saturdays and this group of women leave me with such a warm glow on the inside – more so than I have had from any running group or track team that I have belonged too. So I am moving and this week will probably be posting more about it on twitter stream with the Fitfluential #PROOF initiative launching today. Expect to see screens of my Polar RCX5 and some background of where I have been.
Big news in that I was awarded a Kalso Earth Project Community Scholarship. Thank you Kalso, I will be posting my acceptance and overview post about my community project tomorrow.
I am doing FIVE giveaways with Park Hyatt Beaver Creek and their s’mores party campaign. Now I am gonna toss out some harsh love here – please do not enter if you are actively trying to lose weight and do not do well with sweets in your home. I do not want this prize package to sabotage your efforts – this is for people are great at moderation and balance already or just want the discount resort code. I am harsh like this IRL too – just ask friends who I refuse to let leave my home with stomach aches from treats, etc.
Other than that my week is filled with preparing for a local adult spelling bee next month, a prenatal yoga teaching intensive next month, and a special announcement coming soon from Fitbloggin’ that I am super excited and grateful to be involved with.
Here is a shot of my weekly menu and random planning…

You are busy, busy! Congrats on winning the scholarship 🙂
Congrats on the Fitbloggin gig! I really want to go this year and getting a free ticket would help a lot. 🙂
Still so glad that you are loving your BGR group. I don’t participate as often as I’d like, but when I do, I never regret it. We had a big women’s 5K this past weekend and BGR attendance was off the charts. It was so cool to walk through a crowd of 3K women and feel like I had friends everywhere. I just love seeing women of all shapes, sizes and abilities getting out the due to the encouragement of the group. It is a powerful thing to witness.
WOW! You are one BUSY WOMAN! But you have some super awesome things going on- and congrats on Fitbloggin!
Love trail running!
