VLAWG to come –
What a fantastic weekend to end a small train of conferences and traveling I have been doing. I am in my Park City room right now feeling pretty worn now that EVO has finished. I figured I could write this post, and then mentally vomit everything I have swirling in my head on paper before tucking in for the night. I can simply convey I am feeling inspired and calculating right now.
I am also dehydrated and fighting a cold. WAHMBULANCE!!
Two basic things I need to do for my health:
1. Detox from all the processed food I have consumed since Fitbloggin. I do not normally eat like we do at conferences and then the residual goodies we go home with. My body is starting to feel it – not with weight but lethargy, inflammation, and compromised immunity.
2. Get away from sugar. Even though my sugar cane allergy is still reduced post-pregnancy (which is why I have been eating it again) it is catching up to me. Luckily not with throat swelling and breathing issues like pre-pregnancy but in the lethargy I mentioned above, acne, and other low-level chronic maladies.
I have been active at EVO. I did not stay in the main lodge but a nearby lodge that ended up being more than 25 yds away once I got to an entrance I could use for the conference lodge. Add that in with carrying my 25 pound baby and I lifted a lot with him. I also attended Holly Perkins New Balance boot camp class plus taught the Apartment Guide sponsored yoga class today. With fighting a cold this whole time I was nervous about losing my voice but it held up through two consecutive days of leading vlogging workshops.
This upcoming week will include not letting this cold get crazy, sleeping, eating well and focusing on organizing my life (e..g. packing and getting rid of baby items that are no longer needed).
Breakfasts – ancient grain based breakfast with eggs and veggies to be savory or fruit, nuts, raw milk to be sweet
Lunch – leftovers, salads, or smoothies
Dinners – (Mon) Black bean tacos with grilled veggies, (Tues) Pasta with walnuts, carmelized onions, bleu cheese + salad (Wed) Tamarind Lentils + Brown Rice (Thurs) Avocado rolls with almond butter and miso soup (Fri) Whole wheat pizza (Sat) leftovers (Sun) Moroccan Roast Chicken w/ roasted veggies and rice
Workouts will be chill as I get back to a better balance – running, swimming, cycling, hiking, yoga – just being active. Also a steam if I can get away plus H2o with lemon to bring the body back to alkaline.
Have a fantastic week. Has the activity of summer also been kicking your butt? I know I am not alone.

Oh no Kia! Don’t get sick on us! You know the right things to do to get healthy, so keep t up. It seems you all had a great time at the EVO conference, I loved watching everyone’s tweets! Feel better and have a great week! Squeeze Bodhi for me!
Thank you. I have been fighting it all week and actually think the dryness of the resort building is what has kept my throat from getting better. After driving 8 hours and being busy I actually feel better now. About to drink a whole lot of garlic lemonade between tonight and tomorrow for good measure though. I will squeeze my little nugget for you. xoxo Have a great week yourself.
You have been one busy Momma! I can’t keep up with you. LOL! I hope to go to a few more conferences next year. Glad you are winding down and giving yourself some time.
Wow – I was wondering how you are feeling because you have been on the go a while. Sometimes our little bodies just say enough! So rest for you – enjoy being home – and enjoy the clearing of your space.
hugs!
Noooooo! Don’t get sick! 🙁 Hope you get some rest & start feeling better soon!!
I am doing the same thing this week … getting rid of the stuff that is not needed anymore & I am beginning on getting rid of this unneeded and unwanted weight!!
Have a fabulous week! See you at the birthday party tomorrow!
Feel better:) I cannot imagine doing all of that with a baby. You are one strong momma. Have a great week!
Praying for you to get better soon. Thanks for being such an inspiration to me.
Your meals sound awesome. Can I come over for dinner a couple nights?
Ooooh, girl, I head you on the processed food hangover. I had a string of travel/conference dates too, and I think it took 2 weeks to get straightened out again after I got back. I’ve got until August before the travel starts again.
Take care of that cold! Summer colds stink.
I really hope you will take a break and get back into the boring routine. But who am I kidding, I don’t think there is a routine with you. Take a break, Girl! XO
Feel better soon, Kia. I love hearing your updates and following your progress. You are one of my mamavation stars. Thanks for that and take care of you.
I would love to live a week in your shoes – eat and move like you! I am sure if I were influenced closely by you and follow in your shoes I would be a much healthier, happier woman! I am sure to many (myself included) those fitness conference food options are healthier than what we consume on a daily basis.
hugs
Take care of you! have a great week!
