13 june 2011 update

Today’s date is a special one… see vlawg.

My diet this week has been off following Mamavation’s Fitcation. I have been busy and skipping meals. I am doing something I don’t normally do – using a protein powder supplement. I picked up a whey one that is GMO and added hormone free. Not my cup of tea, but skipping meals is not cool especially with Crossfit.

This week I want to Crossfit 4x, cardio 3x, yoga 2x. Father’s Day is this upcoming weekend and I am taking my guys camping at some hot springs. That will be RnR and springs time. Last week I lifted 215 in my back squat, taught 7 yoga classes, got into my handstand, and ran twice. The ca

  1. Raw coconut soup? Hmmm sounds interesting & yummy!

Have fun on your camping trip!! 🙂 Hot springs sound amazing right now!!

  2. OMG
I just kept look at bodhi – so sleepy. Love your busy week. I just wish I lived close to you – I am loving how inspirational you are

  3. You are such a doll! Thanks for the homemade electrolite drink info! I am going to have to attempt to make my own. Nursing and running in the heat makes me uber thirsty… and I hate to DRINK sugar before/during/after a good run.

You are a machine with your crossfit and workouts!! Proud of you!! Keep up the great work!!

    1. I gotta admit to feeling a bit machine-like today. We had a pretty strenuous workout and I tore some skin off my hand. I have not done that lifting in a long, long time.

Do try the homemade electrolyte drink, a tiny bit of juice for taste and some sea salt goes a long way.

  4. Happy happy birthday to Bodhi!!! Hope you had a great time at the brewery!
As usual, you are inspiring in your super chill way. xoxo

  5. OMG he’s so sweet!! HAPPPPPYYYYYY BDAY BODHI!!!!!!! AWESOME HOME BIRTH BOY!!!!

    You rock, as always, kia!!!

  6. I love your meal plans. I have a tendency to not be hungry when my hormones are off and I hate skipping meals because I know it isn’t good for me. So I use an egg protein powder mix to which I add flax seed, fruit, and a bit of maple syrup.

  7. Wow – sooo precious and so amazing that you’re doing all that stuff! Geesh…. Rest Woman! hugs and tick tock til #FHBC11 woot!

  8. 215# Back Squat…loud applause. My back squat skills went away post baby. I can’t get as high as I used to get. Plus, I fear that particular lift. I’m always afraid that I will get down and not be able to get back up LOL.

Happy Birthday Bodhi! Loved hearing him gurgling in the background.

  9. My daughter is going CRAZY over your baby!!!! He’s so cute. 215 back squat WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You are one strong mama. That is so awesome. How do you feel since adding Crossfit to your work out regime? Curious if you think it has benefited your yoga and runs.
