VLOG – talking Mamavation and a lot about TRADER JOE’S

ZERO exercise.  LITTLE FOOD on some days. An INNER EAR INFECTION. Means I am rebounding right now.  The week wasn’t that rough.  It just wasn’t that productive.  And given the silly ear infection I couldn’t read from my laptop or a book during my down time.  However I did get to photograph the Sandhill Cranes with my dad as my birthday gift to him.

This week will be better.  It will be slow but better.  I have to reschedule a few things like a yoga workshop but I will.  I have a couple of goals to work on right now:

  1. A weight/fitness goal for Fitbloggin in May
  2. Qualifying and prepping for the Bolder Boulder 10K in SEVENTY days

Food planning has not been worked out for the week either.  We are PATHETIC round these parts.  All I know for sure is my husband wants me to make something that will include a Cayenne Cabbage and Carrot Slaw one day and I am making Sweet Potato and Black Bean Enchiladas for a party on Saturday night.

My goal this week… BE GENTLE with myself as I get stronger and back to myself.  Also I need to take my probiotics to kick this inner ear issue to the curb.

  1. …and then the dog would never have dared bark in someone’s face again! Right? Lol. It is amazing how such a simple thing can trigger such a big response from us. It was probably just the final straw to your poor body. Gorgeous picture by the way. The Cranes are beautiful.

Hope you can get back soon and your routine can normalize as you get well. Oh, yeah… I just (heart) Trader Joes! Have a great week!

  2. You Rock!!! I loved chatting with you and I hope you get to feeling better. I completely understand as I was sick this past week as well. Thankfully I got rid of it.

  5. WOW.
I will definitely bell peppers and White vinegar. My TJ is like 10 minutes away, but it still takes me a while to get there.
OMG. My husband yesterday asked if I wanted to go to Colorado Springs on the Jeep trip. I thought of you! Hugs!!!!

  6. Ear infections are a pain, hope it heals up really quickly. I tend to get them anytime we go up in the mountains. Those peppers looked good, have you ever tried pepper jelly (it’s the spicy type and a bit sweet, not sure if yours is the same type) my grandmother had a great recipe she use to make which I’m trying to get from her. Enjoyed chatting with you, hopefully I’m not the hand girl, if I am I apologize. I’ve always heard of Trader Joe’s but I’ve never been to one. Wondering now if they have one near me. Hope you get to do your trip this summer, sounds like a fun time.

    1. No, they are just savory peppers. I like pepper jelly but this is not the same stuff. I am actually in the mood to make some more jelly – I have an apple, earl grey tea, and almond one on my mind. As far as the hand motions and stuff it was not you but it is all good. My stupid ear infection had no bearing on the interviews. I just drank a lot of water and looked to the side. It was nice chatting with you though.
