Writing. What do you do each day that doesn’t contribute to your writing — and can you eliminate it?
Each day I don’t plan. I should set up an editorial calendar. I have a little one that doesn’t make it easy to plan on a schedule, but that is no excuse. I tell folks I have learned to truly carpe diem since he was born. If an opportunity or a brief pause in his day comes a long (a.k.a. nap) I have learned to pounce on it.

WordPress has a plugin for editorial calendars that I really like. It’s pretty basic, but is a nice calendar view of the month with links to drafts or ideas you’re starting and shows a little history of what you have posted. I’m a fan 🙂
