Shortly after I started blogging I found My Brown Baby. Naturally this site resonated with me. Through them and one particular week of giveaways I was introduced to T. Allen-Mercado. She is a kind, wise, balanced heart who not only creates a symphony of words on her blog Tea and Honey Bread as well as Moms of Hue, but also creates some stunning art.
Via a My Brown Baby giveaway I won a gift certificate to her Pretty In Peace store on etsy. The yogini in me instantly fell for her balanced style. The environmentalist in me fell for her ethics with her product design. I selected some hair pins and earrings that she promptly sent out. Obviously she was a lot more prompt in her response than I am in expressing my appreciation.
I received these items just before Christmas and have worn them many times in the last six weeks. First here are the sterling silver hair pins with antiqued buttons.
These pins are girly and classic. They have gone with a crazy variety of outfits from chic dressing up to a touch of sparkly on casual fare.
These earrings are made of reclaimed glass for a more relaxed lifestyle and have worked well with my casual to more boehmian outfits. The blue/green glass does something really pretty with my olive skin that this piece of wood does not help capture.
I highly recommend her shop if you are looking for a unique and lovely gift made with a kind ethic. Thank you again for the generous giveaway you did in conjunction with My Brown Baby.

Ooooh thanks for the tip. I love bohemian type jewelry and clothing. So pretty.
