After I taught yoga at EVO Conference I walked on over to a breakfast sponsored by Nature’s Path and Sambazon where one of their reps sat at my table. All I got to say is that these are some cool peeps. Nature’s Path even has someone on their staff whose job is to ensure that the organic products are truly organic even if they do not originate in the United States. It was nice to have that time with a representative from a company to talk about nutrient density, the integrity of our food supply, and even upcycling of older clothes.
I took a goody bag of their product home to share with my family. The verdict is that we liked what they are doing, their cookbook, and goodies but their stuff is kind of sweet. Some of the products use a few sweeteners (even though they are “real food” high-quality sweeteners). One of these over-the-top but delicious treats was LOVE CRUNCH. Let me just say wow, this is a treat in a bowl with actual chunks of dark chocolate (as well as coconut, flax, raspberries, and strawberries). It is a limited edition premium granola that began as a wedding favor and now has $1 of every sale going to help lift women out of poverty globally via microcredit loans via Whole Planet Foundation. This is not an everyday treat, but it is delicious. We had some for dessert and a special occasion breakfast at our home. It is AWESOME, but not your everyday breakfast cereal. However the Acai and OJ from Sambazon is something I could see myself having a bit of everyday with the superfood juice blended into OJ.
Here is your chance to win a month’s supply of these goodies. I want to keep this easy for you all.
Simply go to Nature’s Path and look around their website. Return here and comment with a Do Good fact.
This contest is open until 26 August 14:06 MST (**very funny timing but note this is a mercury retrograde contest and my first giveaway for a product.) Winner will have 48 hours to respond before another winner is picked.
The prize (available to US residents only) with an estimated retail value of $90.00 includes a one (1) month supply of Sambazon Açaà with Orange Juice and Nature’s Path Love Crunch. A one (1) month supply is equal to fifteen(15) single serve Sambazon juice bottles and six (6) boxes of Nature’s Path Love Crunch. Sambazon product is not available in Canada and thus the alternate prize (available to Canadian residents only) with an estimated retail value of $90.00 includes a two (1) month supply (twelve boxes) of Nature’s Path Love Crunch.

What an amazing company! I actually got lost in their site! what is remarkable to me is that “In 2006 alone, Nature’s Path—with your help—prevented approximately 166,000 pounds of pesticides, and 12,453,000 pounds of synthetic fossil fuel fertilizer from being used. ” Holy CROW! That’s AWESOME!
Jim just bought the Ancient Grains at Costco the other day! Gotta say I love em. OK, so looking at their site, I love the non-GMO stance, the fighting against the big business pesticide evils.
Me needs to try some Love Crunch! NOM NOM!!!!!!!!! OMG GIMME THE LOVE CRUNCH, DUDE!!!!
Love their many messages too, among them: Do good and it keeps coming back to you.
Very very true.
Oh my god, I got some of the Love Crunch about 4 months ago, and I still dream about it. I’ve yet to see it anywhere again.
My do-good fact is that “One square foot of agricultural soil has 5 to 30 earthworms. Earthworms can turn over the top 6 inches of soil in 10 to 20 years.” I used that one because if I win, I will share with my friend Erica, and she hates worms. Maybe these ones will turn out to be lucky for her!
I’m a big fan of Nature’s Path (everything I’ve tried has been terrific, from granola bars to cereal to granola to pancake mix), and I’d LOVE to win some Love Crunch.
A Do Good Fact: Nature’s Path composts office food waste at its head office, then uses the compost to fertilize the demo grain field and organic garden and picnic area behind its building! (Awesome)
I LOVE their products! I learned that a portion of the energy used to make their cereals come from “Green Certificates” — which come from 100% new green electricity generated in B.C.
it’s cool that one square foot of agricultural soil has 5 to 30 earthworms.
I love Nature’s Path. Their raisin flake cereal is so good!
heres a fab fact: “In 2006 alone, Nature’s Path—with your help—prevented approximately 166,000 pounds of pesticides, and 12,453,000 pounds of synthetic fossil fuel fertilizer from being used. â€
I’ve always been a huge Nature’s Path fan and love their products and what they’re about!
Here’s a the fact that just blows my mind:
“Homeowners use up to 10 times more toxic chemicals per acre than farmers”
Yikes!
NP composts at food waste at their head quarters! Cool!
I absolutely love this company – I get awesome deals on Nature path cereal on Amazon once in a while. My Do good fact is that homeowners use up to 10 times more toxic chemicals per acre than farmers – I never thought about it
I love this company and would LOVE to win this prize! My fact is: “Americans use 50 million tons of paper annually — consuming more than 850 million trees.” I had hoped the internet would curb paper use, but it’s still high, high, high!!
Great giveaway. (thanks for sending me to the site, LOTS to learn)
One Do Good fact: Nature’s Path is organic because it protects biodiversity.
I’m a big fan of Nature’s Path and of Sambazon Acai (moreso the purple than the orange). Cool that you got to hang out with them (and teach yoga at EVO!)
One square foot of agricultural soil has 5 to 30 earthworms.
They have a wealth of knowledge on their site. Do good fact, “Americans use 50 million tons of paper annually — consuming more than 850 million trees.” That baffles me that in the computer era we are still wasting so much paper.
I was drawn to both their support of family run farms and efforts towards sustainability. Both topics near and dear to this farm girl’s heart!!
Here is my fact/quote: “Always leave the soil better than you found it.â€
It’s something Arran’s father used to say often while they worked side-by-side on the family farm, and the idea has become our guiding principle. We take this idea under consideration in every aspect of our business, as we travel our own path to sustainability.
We live and work on the same land worked by my husband’s family for 100 years. We care about the land for not only our livelihood, but to sustain and feed our family. Great company to learn about. Thanks Kia!
