Hello, let’s start off with a vlog this week…
Here is my food tracked for the past week…
Easy, eat more often through the day, even small stuff and toss in more veggies. My water this week was great, so was my exercise. I am 6-7 pounds under pre-pregnancy weight at this point without dieting and am 16 weeks. This week I already picked up some carrots and avocados to munch on and have a lot of citrus around the house, it is just a matter of eating them.
I want to emphasize my well wishes for the #mamavation ladies applying for sponsored mom positions and those trying to get in the sistahood. You will never be more beautiful than you are right now, and when you believe this nothing can stop you.
I also want to give you a real life look into to some fun scenarios today that may mirror what some of you face. Here is a video message from my husband who I love dearly.
First, he is supportive of me working out, but has motivation problems himself in that I need to motivate him. Yes, I buy him sweet potato fries if it gets him outside and coming back for more. Also he was a bit sore so the sodium and low-glycemic carbs seemed like a quick fix to get him feeling better.
Second, he is not the most supportive in mirroring the food choices I should be doing. Actually he quickly admits he can be a piggy. He is tall and has a pretty decent metabolism but he does carry his excess weight around his middle, which is dangerous. I like having him around and thus push him to workout with me or elsewhere.
Third, I have no issue being around him and not adopting his eating habits. For example here is a pic of our snackin’ after the hike. He had a cliff bar, cookie, and fries… I had a banana, nut butter, and a few of his fries.
This is real life and just because temptation is there does not mean I need to eat it. I just thought I would share some real life challenges I face and how I deal with them.
He is supportive of all of us in our process, and especially of @angelasue79 (that is his sister). In case you have not figured it out, she is my sissy (sister-in-law) and we have watched her stumble upon losing 20 pounds in 2009. I am supportive of #mamavation moms, but am biased to push for her a little bit more than others. Go Ang! Click here to visit her website and her campaign to be selected as a #mamavation mom.
I ask you to please tweet the phrase, “Hey @bookieboo! I want @angelasue79 to be the next #Mamavation Mom. She has my support!” if you share my enthusiasm for her to be selected as a Mamavation Mom (this part of the campaign lasts through 12 Jan).

You guys are too cute! You've inspired me to go check out the walking trail we have here in the Back Mountain. In the snow. 🙂
You and your husband are adorable! Congrats on the baby, pregnancy is hard but freaking amazing.
Awww, aren't you guys the cutest! Fantastic post & loved seeing the videos 🙂 Kia, I think you were made for video! Pre-natal yoga videos?
Doood, I love your dh! He's very cool.
And OMG, when I saw your Larabar, I just died. I eat those all the time. My favorite is the peanut butter cookie bar. Ingredients: dates & peanuts. So delish!
XXOO
I love your food choices. I like what you said about temptation being out there that it doesn't mean you need to eat it. Definitely will be taking that with me as I progress. Thanks for the well wishes. Love your vids and you look great!

I am SO biased, but this was an awesome post!! OMG, I love your hubby! Wait.. that's my brother…yes I love him. I adore you both, actually. You already know. I so want to go to that mountain when I visit next. I want to be able to hike that with you guys. At your pace, not mine. Dang, Indiana sucks! Thanks for your support, encouragement, and teachings. I don't have to eat what people around me are eating. I need to remember that. <3
Awesome videos! I would never have guessed that is your first one.
You eat w-a-y better than I do! Your hubby might not eat as well as you do, but you should keep him because he is a great camera man! 🙂
You look so natural on video. Great, inspiring post.
Mmmmm, I love the almond butter. We understand why you're a little biased. It's all good. 😉
Oh my gosh, you guys crack me up! I love your post – and the sisterly love. (And I can eat a bag of sweet potato fries like no bodies business.) I wish I lived in a place where I could hike a mountain at anytime. Well, maybe I do…I need to go get on that! 😀
What a great post! Totally love that your hubs supports you and is willing to make guest appearances on your blog! Looking forward to getting to know you!
Thanks for the reminder that just because it's here, doesn't mean I have to eat it. I totally have to work on that! 🙂
Awww – you guys are so awesome! I wish you lived around the corner so we could run together!
