No vlog this week but a short video highlighting part of the long workout I did…
Yep, yep, the baby is here. A home birth coming in at 1:29 a.m. 13 June 2010. He was born at 7 pounds 8 ounces and 21 inches long. He has a head full of dark curly hair, a mix of our facial features, and pretty giant hands and feet. His name is Bodhi. The pictures I posted on Friday where I look a bit tired were 36 hours into the birthing process.
The overall labor was rather long (68.5 hours for water breaking and steady contractions that included 21 hours of prodromal labor to get fully dilated) but the active labor was a super short 8-10 pushes. I am grateful I stayed very active during my pregnancy to have the stamina to keep up a 3-day “marathon” then have the strength to push him out so quickly. I’ll do a full birth story on a non-Mamavation day.
Anyway, so this is what is up with me and infrequent participation. I’ll get to your blog posts sometime by mid-week I imagine but most likely will not make it to the show tomorrow. Congrats to CJ for Sista of the Week!! And don’t forget to work on your video applications for Campaign 5 that starts very soon.
As for me me and Mamavation goals I am taking this week off. Next week I’ll start posting my plan… I say plan for now because I am taking a full 40 days off from any exercise to fully let my body recover. I will still be active with the Sistahood but mostly participating on the healthy eating side of everything for a bit. O.k., I’ll probably start that in a week too.
