Whatever forces in this world made it so for me to be a mom I am grateful. Yesterday marked 3 months that I have been entrusted to take care of my son.

I have been doing a 365 photo project for him since day 1 and am glad for it. It is easy for me to see how he has changed through those 90+ days. I have savored every day of this journey so far. It has seemed like 3 months because I have fully experienced that time with him.
At birth he weighed 7 1/2 pounds. Today he is 15 pounds. Our midwife said normal growth is doubling body weight by SIX months. I guess it is obvious I do not starve him, he is 100% bewbie-powered.
For the most part he has stayed a pretty chill dude. We will see how this lasts as his gums are incredibly jaggy with teeth about to cut through any day. He even wears bling now in the form of an amber teething necklace.
The hydronephrosis of his kidneys is about all cleared up with no medical intervention (which is the norm over 90% of the time with boys). A lot of medical examination but no intervention. Both kidneys are considered normal now but he will have one more exam in three months to be sure.

He is on the cusp of the one milestone I have been anticipating since before he was born… LAUGHTER. I guess 96 days is the norm. Aristotle said that humans don’t have a soul til they laugh, my little beasty will be soulless no more very soon if you go by that logic.

I am grateful. His body, mind, and personality are all rapidly developing. He still is a perfect blend of me and my husband – our looks and our personalities. It has been a joyous three months for my little family.

Oh my gosh, Kia! He's beautiful!!!!
I would carry that daddy/baby picture with me everywhere. it's such a great shot! And I love how the iPhone is *just* within reach. That's a good man, right there!!
ohhhh myyyy goodness, he is SO ADORABLE! love the pics 🙂
HE'S SO BEAUTIFUL! OMG
What is it about a shirtless man and a baby? Hee hee.
Gorgeous! I wish I had taken pictures every day of my son's first year, it's amazing how fast they grow in short periods of time.
I agree with Sugar, the daddy/baby photo is golden! And I have to ask… what is up with the mustache in the first one? hee hee
WHat a beautiful baby. Thanks for the welcome to Mamavation.
LOL, the first one w/ the mustache is Carlos. He is the demonstration baby at Real Baby (a baby store) in town. You use him to test out carriers and wraps, someone put that on him that day. It was cracking me up.
