I have made no secret that I have been stressed lately with a family illness. I have felt pretty bad that I have been letting my body get stressed, and in turn stressing my baby. Poor little baby. In the last two days I have been avoiding family drama and concentrating on the sick family member. I have been meditating and letting go as much as I can since I have such little control over the situation anyway.
Today the chance to do a belly henna session fell in my lap with a very gentle person that is working on this project as part of her own art therapy. She showed up we went outside to the freshly mowed grass. We talked, picked some elements for her to work on and I layed out in my denim shorts, halter top, and hat while the sun shone from above. It was a very sweet time to focus on the baby and the protective space of my belly.
Here is the work of Sarah Kate. She has her own photographs she will work with, these were just a couple my husband shot in a few minutes. I had a really great time during our session. I really needed to be around her kind, gentle presence for a while.

Those are the most beautiful baby belly pics I have ever seen. I love how that made you feel. I feel like you are living my life 4 years ago. Pregnant with a father in ICU. Hugs.
