I posted one of my fave chants when I started this blog and the story behind it.
Ganesha Sharanam Sharanam Ganehsa
I thought I would re-visit this topic for those trying to conceive and those in the early stages of your pregnancy. When we are trying to get pregnant there is a lot of desire on our part as prospective parents. I do not think that desire is wasted energy… it can be used for intention building if you are Buddhist, Christian, Jewish, Muslim, etc.
Find messages that are important to you through whatever spiritual pathway you are most comfortable. There are also secular messages you can use…
For women trying to conceive, “Come to me”
For women in their 1st trimester, “Stay with me”
Find your space of comfort whether it is sitting cross-legged on a meditation cushion, sitting relaxed in a favorite chair, quietly laying on your bed and place your hands gently on your reproductive parts. Say these words out loud and gently, think them quietly. Simply use your desire and a succinct message to communicate. Good luck. Above all else be gentle and patient with yourself if you are facing frustrations in your reproductive process, those messages of frustration travel like shock waves.
For those interested in the protection of entities in their beginning chant I used here is a small recording I made with a class of women. Learn it and use it if you want.

Great post–those words are so simple but so powerful. I can imagine they could help any trying-to-conceive mom or first trimester mom really connect with her body and stay calm during a time that can be so full of tension. As I prepared to birth my first baby a few months ago I used a similar approach and it worked amazingly.
Thank you! Mind over matter, I say…
