mamavation monday 18 jan 10

really long vlog that tells you:

1. more about MEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!
2. why I am part of mamavation as a preggo and how much I appreciate y’all
3. my challenges this past week

In case you don’t watch here are my challenges:

1. eating even if I am not hungry despite the whims of my pregnant body
2. continuing to drink my water, just slower. and through the day but not too late (I don’t like peeing in the middle of the night if I can avoid it)
3. recognizing my body as it changes, the bump as started and carrying that info into my exercise

Last Friday when I tweeted I was not going to screw myself like I did the day before and eat 3 meals plus snacks that day my husband laughed and said there would be no way. He was kind of right. It really is hard to plan that many meals for my body right now. Snacks are fruit, nuts, veggies. Breakfast either egg-based or whole grain based.

So this week I will eat a substantial breakfast or lunch and snack around that and do dinner. Here are dinners for the next few days (it is hard to plan with my erratic changing tastes in food):

Monday: leftover tamarind lentils and brown rice with salad
Tuesday: whole wheat pizza with veggies
Wednesday: our 2nd anniversary (swoon)…. butternut squash soup, salad, and chocolate souffle
Thursday: black beans, rice, salsa. avocado

Also go to mamavation.com to sign up for tonight’s giveaway via the MomTV show at 10 EST. Yoga pants and a custom baby blankie up for grabs.

  1. lol wait till you start bumping into walls or doors, you're really going to take it slow as not to loose balance as your belly grows. I don't see any problems with your eating habits, everything seem so much healthy that you're doing. You are an inspiration everytime I read or view your posts.

  2. You are going to be surprised how strong you actually are pregnant. My first pregnancy I was a coach potato, but my second pregnancy was so incredibly active. I remember being so shocked by how much I COULD do, then by what I couldn't do.

This group is going to be so good for you, cause they are going to be a good source of help when the baby is born. We've all been through it.

And I'm a nut right along with you on the food supply. I think some heads should roll. I really think the food supply is what is causing all the cancers, etc.

Okay, I'm moving to Colorado to be your very BFF. I just LOVE your videos. You are so happy and cheerful, but I was sad to hear your story about the accident. I think it was awesome you were going for your PhD, but there is a reason for everything. I'll probably be taking that road in another year or two.

I've done the depression thing before too…after each of my boys were born. Make sure you stay in tune with your body and recognize any signs after birth. Hopefully you wont need to worry because you are being so healthy. A healthy body, a healthy mind. You are doing it all right.

I'm serious about the baby shower – I really am!

I walked and walked when I was pregnant. It was one of the things that mde me feel better on though sluggish preggo days. You kind of become a physics experiemnt_ like "A body in motion, stays in motion.

Good luck with your food goals this weelk
