I love notebooks and journals. I do not like prompts on how to use them, I do not even like lines.
When picking my baby journal I wanted something very simple like a large Moleskine with blank pages. This journal has been perfect for me but I straight up stole some inspiration from a woman sitting next to me at a coffee shop last week. She had the cutest travel water color set and was painting away in her journal. I have used water colors in journals before but just clunky ones to give the page a wash. Her journal was beautiful with painted scenes that dried and were incorporated into what she was writing with words marking over them. I talked to her for a bit and asked if she would be offended if I used her idea. She seemed flattered so I do not feel so bad for going out and getting a travel water color set tonight.

I just did my first page depicting a wooden buddha my hubby and I visited earlier this year…

Next is to write up about how this trip played an important role in my little one’s life.

What a great idea! And how nice to get this inspiration from a random woman at a coffee shop! I love the Budha drawing!
