S’mores Party!!! A GIVEAWAY

I strive for a balanced life and thankfully chocolate has been a part of that especially when I play really hard.  I have been known to indulge in hot cocoa with a dab of butter in it when I have been extensively backpacking in very cold weather (something about that fat and chocolate combo keeps you warm in a tent when the temps dip below freezing).  When you burn a certain number of calories it is more than all right to indulge in some treats and this is why I get a 4 o’clock s’mores party at a ski resort.

Park Hyatt Beaver Creek sent me a s’mores party package to mimic a sweet amenity they make available for all guests – an afternoon s’mores party at their campfire featuring gourmet marshmallows made in-house.  I received French Vanilla, Coffee, Creme de Methe and Orange Creamsicle marshmallows to play with.  I actually grabbed my kit and took it to a gathering with some friends over the weekend.

I am looking forward to packing up my husband and snowshoes and heading to the resort to do make s’mores at their fire soon.

Yeah, I think me and my husband can really enjoy some active getaway time at this resort which is a relatively short drive from Denver.

  1. I told them hazelnut marshmallows would be yum. Never had the hot chocolate with butter, though it could be because I’m lazy and stay inside when it’s cold.

  2. I don’t really balance anything these days, but when I AM exercising regularly, I usually can eat what I want. Bikram every day? Eat away! Cool giveaway!

  3. Every day I work out I put a dollar into a jar… once I have a lot of money I treat myself with something nice like a shopping spree!

  4. On days where I get a double cardio workout in, whether that be a longer hike or an hour of walking/running combo, I feel like I can indulge. I have to admit, I typically find myself craving a square of lovely dark chocolate.
