First off can you all do me a solid and comment on the feature done on me at Run Like A Mother? I will be forever appreciative 🙂

Next up, this was a challenging VLOG for me to do. However I am in a healthy space to challenge myself so I did.

Yes I am loving the Move It or Lose It Challenge because it is forcing me to live with the scale. The challenge is not getting too competitive with the numbers at the detriment to my health. When I mentioned my anxiety over weigh-ins and calipers with the scale in college it was STUPID, my body fat was under 13%. I could not even get my belly button pierced because I had so little fat, yet I had anxiety that I apparently still have.

This challenge is perfect for me because I am in a great head space right now. In the four years I have had this weight on me I have not dieted because I know I can be too extreme when aiming for weight. This is the perfect time to do this because I am in love with myself and in love with my baby so will not jeopardize anything with my body that can affect his food supply.

Eating disorders are a bitch and amaze me how their aftermath can still pop up decades later even if you are in a healthy space. With that said here is my Move It or Lose It picture for the week.

Goals for this week:

  • Eat breakfast every day. I have been a proponent of this for years but in the last number of days have been slacking off. WTH? I can’t afford to skip breakfast.
  • Pay dues for my local running club. They have been more supportive than inconsistent workout partners and they are a great running club.
  • Limit myself to only ONE Greyhound at the Gagaween party on Saturday night. Even if this means going dry at a girls night on Tuesday that may involve a mechanical bull.

In Mamavation bizness congrats to @GAflygirl on SOTW and ME for commenter of the week 😉 Also gotta give love to Subway (@subwayfreshbuzz) for their continued support for Mamavation. Lastly I want to give super big puffy heart love to @Momma_oz and @RachelSteffen who are the new Mamavation moms as well as @CJinKy, @its_gail, @couponprincess for being so gracious after not being selected.

Lastly I am sending out all kinds of love, juju, prayers, vibes, etc. as @fitcheerldr and @beeacutie2 can be having babies any day now. Have joyous births ladies. xoxo

    I am so happy for you that you're in that good place with yourself and that you are happy with how your body works. Man, I want to slap those coaches though! : ) Congrats on the 2 pounds!! You rock!!

  3. Thanks Kimberly. If I get too silly in my head space I'll probably let you know and back away from the MiLi challenge. It is because of my past I have not gone near any fad diets (which overall is a good thing).

    Greta, I still have anger towards those coaches that I wish I could let go of. Perhaps one day I will, who knows maybe doing this challenge can help with that too.

    You my friend are one of my biggest motivations as you are doing all this while giving your son the most wonderful beginning he can have!

    That in itself is a challenge most women now give up on all too quickly!

  5. You talk about me and my honesty? Thank you for sharing such a personal part of your life. And also sharing the reality of the scale. I have NEVER spent this much time in my life with a scale and thinking about it. It has driven me a bit batty but I don't have nearly the knowledge that you have about "numbers".

    Can I move to Colorado and be under your wing? lol.

  8. Good luck with the weigh ins and not getting anxious over it. Sounds like motherhood is having such a great effect on you, and although you are trying to lose and tone up, it is helping keeping your mind on staying “healthy”, and not overdoing it!

  10. Kia, hugs babe. I was bulimic for almost a decade. and would you believe i felt like a failed anorexic because I couldn’t control the need to eat? These disorders are horrible, and I am so proud of you for owning your space and loving the body you are in. way to go, mama. it takes a lot of hard work to get to where you are. Forget what the scale says, for just a moment, and be proud of how far you have come mentally.

  11. congrats on the 2 lb loss thats awesome. what exactly happens when your in the move it to lose it challenge, does leah give you ladies special challenges or are you on your own going against each other like those contestants that are voted off at biggest loser ranch then come back at the end to go against each other.

  12. I struggled with the B word in high school as well. It’s definitely not something you ever fully get rid of, like most addictions I guess. It’s still always there in the back of my mind, but that’s about as far as I let it get.

  13. You do an amazing job staying grounded and focused on your weight loss journey without becoming obsessed. All the while you are balancing challenges that make an already difficult process more difficult. I tip my hat off to you for staying so positive and encouraging throughout.
